Tisha B'av
The Traditional Day Of Mourning

"Tisha B’Av is a day of mourning and repentance. During this time we reflect on the destruction of the First and Second Temples, and other tragic events in Jewish history which took place on this day. By carefully observing the following laws and customs that were instituted by our Sages we are able to fully sense the significance of this day. We are also able to analyze the individual and national shortcomings which have perpetuated our exile, and to dedicate ourselves to the personal and collective Torah effort which will bring about the building of the Third Temple."
